Art is relaxing and therapeutic. It is never too late to start a new hobby or jump back into an old one. You can enjoy the work of many talented artists through Art Walk Kingston on Saturday October 1st from 12pm-6pm and Sunday October 2nd from 1pm-5pm. Many of the artists featured in Art Walk Kingston are over the age of 60.
“Arts Mid Hudson created this event after realizing there was an influx of artists in the community without a community wide event, to celebrate the arts and bring the community out and about and experience an organized studio tour” says Linda Marston-Reid, Executive Director of Arts Mid Hudson.
For seniors, head out Saturday October 1st to Bailey Pottery at 62 Ten Broeck Avenue and attend a ‘Make your Own Tile’ class 11:00am-2:00pm. On the same block, you can visit twelve other showcased artists at The Lace Mill at 165 Cornell St., R&F Paints at 84 Ten Broeck Ave., and Cornell St Studios, located on the 2nd Floor at 168 Cornell St.
