We are walking, biking, and rolling in Kingston!
Our purpose
The groups that make up the Travel Well Focus Team develop, implement and/or support policy, systems and environmental change by providing transportation agencies and the City of Kingston with tools and recommendations to develop a more complete system that fosters active transportation and healthy living.
What we are doing!
Three active groups make up our Travel Well efforts. We work on separate, but interconnected initiatives.
The Kingston Complete Streets Advisory Council advises the city on policy, environmental, systems change, current transportation projects, and transportation issues that the public brings to light. kingston-ny.gov/CompleteStreetsAdvisoryCouncil
Bike Friendly Kingston advocates for better bicycle infrastructure, safer cycling, and a stronger bicycle culture in Kingston. www.bikefriendlykingston.org
The Kingston Land Trust Rail Trail Committee advocates and supports the development of the Kingston Greenline, a rail trail hub in Kingston supports the intersection of three rail trails in Kingston with trails and on-street Complete Streets infrastructure.
