The firstborn of Beth and Fred Muhs in Marietta, OH. Graduated from Clarkstown High School North in New City, NY in 2004. He then attend Malone College where he received his BA in Community Health Education. He graduated from Malone University in 2009, and went on to work for The Salvation Army in several roles (mainly with troubled youth). After returning back to NY from his time in NE Ohio, Erik attended The Salvation Army’s College for Officer Training (seminary) in Suffern, NY. He became an ordained minister in 2017. In the same year, marring his now wife Barri Vazquez-Muhs. Erik and Barri now reside with their newborn son in Kingston, and are the pastors and administrators of The Salvation Army of Ulster County and Northwest Dutchess County.
