<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Join Grow Well Kingston</span><span style="font-weight: 400;"> on Saturday, August 29, 2026, from 9:00 am &#8211; 12:00 pm for a guided visit to five gardens in the City of Kingston. Learn about the spaces and meet the stewards. Share the love of gardening and meet new neighbors. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Join us via bicycle to visit all five gardens or meet us at any of the stops along the way.  Contact us if you would like to borrow a bicycle or need a helmet. The route is 4 miles total and will be at a slow pace. </span><span style="font-weight: 400;"> Spanish interpretation will be available thanks to the Hudson Valley Farm Hub.</span><span style="font-weight: 400;"> </span></p>

<li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1"><span style="font-weight: 400;">10 am: Barmann Park Garden, 3 S. Clinton Ave</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1"><span style="font-weight: 400;">10:30 am: Kingston YMCA Farm Project, 1 Summer Street</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1"><span style="font-weight: 400;">11 am: GW Elementary Garden, 67 Wall St (Washington Ave side)</span></li>

<p class="x_MsoNormal">The City of Kingston has contracted engineering firm <a title="https://cplteam.com/" href="https://cplteam.com/" data-auth="NotApplicable" data-linkindex="0">CPL</a> to complete a <span class="mark1ee7kiaq9" data-markjs="true" data-ogac="" data-ogab="" data-ogsc="" data-ogsb="">Sidewalk</span> Improvement Study. As part of the study, <span class="mark1ee7kiaq9" data-markjs="true" data-ogac="" data-ogab="" data-ogsc="" data-ogsb="">sidewalk</span>s across the city will be comprehensively reviewed and rated based on their condition. The City will also look at what type of repairs are needed and will explore funding options to find the most cost-effective choices that meet City and State regulations.</p>
<p class="x_MsoNormal">Emily Flynn, Director of Heath &amp; Wellness and Project Manager, said, “We have worked with CPL on several engineering projects to date and, with this study, will work with their local team to provide multiple opportunities for residents to share their feedback throughout the process.”</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p class="x_MsoNormal"><span data-olk-copy-source="MessageBody">Join the City of Kingston and Live Well Kingston for a ribbon cutting for Kingston’s brand-new Traffic Park on Wednesday, July 15, at 10:00am at Forsyth Park, between the playground and the tennis courts. </span></p>
<p class="x_MsoNormal">The Traffic Park is a painted road design on an underused parking lot at Forsyth Park, which will give people of all ages a safe space to practice walking and bicycling skills.</p>
<p class="x_MsoNormal">Funding for this project was provided by the New York State Department of Health Creating Healthy Schools and Communities grant program.</p>
<p class="x_MsoNormal">The project was supported by Edson Elementary staff and parents, the City of Kingston’s Parks and Recreation Department, the Department of Public Works, The Engineering Department, and the Health and Wellness Department. Bill DeCicco and Sons Seal Coating provided a discounted rate to prepare the lot for painting.</p>
