Join us Saturday, September 7, 2024, from 9:00 am – 12:30 pm, for our annual Grow Well Kingston Community Gardens Bicycle Tour. The tour will visit five of the City of Kingston’s community gardens. Learn about the gardens and meet the garden stewards. Share the love of gardening and meet new neighbors. The tour will be via bicycle, but it’s not a requirement to participate – meet us at the gardens at the approximate times below. Contact us if you would like to borrow a bicycle or need a helmet.
This tour has five scheduled stops, join us at any preferred location or the full ride.
- 9:00am – George Washington Elementary School Garden, 67 Wall Street (meet behind the building in the Washington Ave side parking lot.)
- 9:45am – South Pine Street City Farm, 27 South Pine Street
- 10:30am – Barmann Park Garden, on Greenkill Ave, across from the Boys & Girls Club
- 11:15am – YMCA Farm Project at the YMCA, behind 507 Broadway, near Susan Street
- 12:00pm – Rondout Gardens Community Garden, Murray Street at Rondout Drive
Please wear comfortable clothes, have water, sunblock, snacks, and anything else to be comfortable. Bring food and stay for a picnic lunch at the end of the tour.
