Join us for a FREE Kingston Eats: Farm Fresh Cooking Workshop!
Join Chef Jodi Rae of Full Heart Foods as we celebrate our Kingston Eats veggie and fruit of the month, tomatoes and melons, with this FREE hands-on cooking experience! Inspired by what you might find at the farmers’ market, the menu includes a refreshing cantaloupe gazpacho, harvest ratatouille, and two types of sorbet: watermelon and peach.
The workshop is intended for adults. Teens aged 16 and up may attend with an adult.
Please arrive by 5:15pm to complete pre-workshop paperwork so that we may start promptly at 5:30pm.

The food has been made available through the generosity of Sunflower Market in Woodstock supported with funds from the State of New York’s Creating Healthy Schools and Communities grant.

The YMCA of Kingston and Ulster and Bike Friendly Kingston will be offering monthly free bike repair clinics starting in March. If your bike is making noises, or you have a flat tire, or if you just want to get it checked over, bring it to the Repair Clinic. Our volunteer mechanics will diagnose, and if possible, repair your bike. No advance registration required. The events are free, but donations are encouraged! You must bring your bike!
The clinics will be outdoors in the YMCA Parking Lot, 507 Broadway (entrance on Pine Grove Avenue).
We will also have free helmets, bike locks, safety vests, bells and lights to give out while supplies last.

Our partners include social workers, health practitioners, doctors, non-profit and for-profit organizations, medical staff, yoga instructors, healers, government staff, and residents interested in health issues.
Our Vision
We envision an environment where all community members have access to healthy options to prevent disease and everyone can easily access affordable health care.
Our Mission
To promote complete physical, mental and social well-being in the City of Kingston by:
- Directing and supporting changes in policies, systems and environments,
- Providing tools to patients and to healthcare and human services providers to treat and prevent lifestyle-related chronic diseases, and
- Creating health equity, or social justice in health, so everyone in Kingston has a fair opportunity to live a long, healthy life.
