The Boys & Girls Club of Ulster County held its annual Kickball Tournament on August 2nd at the City of Kingston’s Barmann Park. It was a fun event for all that participated! After taking a hiatus, the tournament returned with boys and girls ages 8-12. The Saugerties B&GC, the Brudehof youth, Center for Creative Education, the Read and Write Program, Camp Starfish and the YMCA were among the participating summer camps. Over 70 kiddos demonstrated their kickball athleticism and teamwork. Play Well Kingston supplied a water station and cooling tent to keep the athletes hydrated between games. The Hannaford Helps team set up camp at the Boys & Girls Club parking lot where they cooked up a sensational BBQ of hearty dishes, sides and offered a variety of fruits and cold refreshments.
