unique collaboration between the Kingston City School District, the Institute for Family Health, and Live Well Kingston, has come together to present a free film screening of Resilience: The [...]
The purpose of the Heal Well Focus Team is to develop, implement and/or support policy, systems and environmental change by providing health care providers and patients with tools to better prevent and treat obesity and lifestyle-related chronic disease and reduce health disparities at the interface between providers and clients. We coordinate with health providers to improve access to health facilities, increase knowledge of opportunities, develop healthy options, break down silos, and support needs assessment.
Our partners include social workers, health practitioners, doctors, non-profit and for-profit organizations, medical staff, yoga instructors, healers, government staff, residents interested in health issues and most importantly: YOU.
We envision an environment where all community members have access to healthy options to prevent disease and everyone can easily access affordable health care.
We bring together people working as health providers in Kingston. We facilitate and strengthen communication by engaging residents and organizations in activities to access healthy options.
What we are doing!
We meet monthly on the first Friday at City Hall to discuss barriers to health and solutions to make real change in access to health. RSVPs are appreciated. Please email eflynn@Kingston-NY.gov.
- We are currently trying out a pilot program called a “Healing Salon”. Click here to read more.
