Make Veggies Fun!

What Is It?

On the Creating Healthy Schools and Communities (CHSC) team, we love food and we love veggies. It’s as simple as that! We also love the fact that we live in an area where so many vegetables are grown. To celebrate both, we’re excited to launch a 3-month, city-wide campaign this September 2023 called Kingston Eats Veggies that celebrates one vegetable each month, and we’re asking businesses, organizations, schools, and folks all across Kingston to participate, hopefully including you!

The campaign will kick off in September 2023 to align with National Fruits & Veggies Month. The vegetables of the month will be:

  • September– Peppers (all kinds!)
  • October– Kale & Collards
  • November– Carrots
