Please join us for a jam-packed meeting!
We’ll be joined by Meghan Weygant, Chief Operating Officer of Hudson Valley Care Coalition, who will present on how the Hudson Valley’s Social Care Network is working as a part of New York’s 1115 Waiver to utilize Medicaid dollars for social needs, like food and nutrition.
Be a part of our future! We’ll review and discuss the 2026 Action Plan Draft, plus Eat Well Kingston’s inaugural Food & Nutrition Policy Platform. This will include a review of our 2025 Action Plan and how far we’ve come to date, including a brand new resource, the Eat Well Resource Hub.
We’re excited to then present the inaugural Eat Well Kingston Policy Platform. The purpose for developing this policy platform will be to:
- Elevate food and nutrition issues as important policy issues
- Identify and communicate our policy priorities to both the community and elected officials
- Create efficiency in in policy-related recommendations for the Live Well Kingston Commission
Once the Eat Well Kingston Policy Platform is finalized, it will then be presented to the Live Well Kingston Commission for adoption consideration as the City of Kingston’s official Health and Wellness Commission. This process utilizes the subject matter expertise of our Eat Well Kingston focus team to inform the official advisory work of the Live Well Kingston Commission.
