“Complete Streets” is a term used to describe ordinary city streets that are designed to encourage people of all ages and abilities, by any mode of transportation, to use them.

“Complete Streets” is a term used to describe ordinary city streets that are designed to encourage people of all ages and abilities, by any mode of transportation, to use them. The more than 86 miles of local roads within the City are some of the most heavily used public spaces in the City.
Kingston’s Common Council created the Complete Streets Advisory Council in late 2010. The group is charged with advising the City on ways Kingston can implement Complete Streets principles in its planning, design, and construction activities.
The Complete Streets Advisory Council’s agenda and notes can be found on the City’s website calendar: www.kingston-ny.gov.
The Council meets monthly on the second Wednesday, 4pm, in Conference Room 1, top floor of City Hall, 420 Broadway, Kingston, NY. Meetings can also be viewed on the City’s YouTube channel: www.youtube.com/c/CityofKingstonNY/videos.

The Live Well Kingston Commission is the health Commission for the City of Kingston, New York. It plays two roles. First, it is an advisory board to the Mayor and Common Council. They create letters of support and guidance for City initiatives. Secondly, they oversee the Live Well Kingston body of work. They do this by: bringing together the focus teams, or subcommittees, Age Well, Eat Well, Grow Well, Play Well, Travel Well; monitoring public health trends; setting strategic direction and goals; and leading communications. To view the meeting agendas and notes, see the Commission page.
The Commission usually meets monthly on the third Wednesday from 4:15 – 5:45 pm, at Kingston City Hall. It is a public meeting, and everyone is welcome. The meetings are also livestreamed and can be viewed on the City’s YouTube channel. Here are the Live Well Kingston YouTube meetings, specifically.
