Laurie Deutsch Mozian MS,RD, CDN is a nutritionist and a masters prepared registered dietitian who has been working in Ulster County for more than 20 years to promote activities that lead to good health and a healthy community.  Becoming a dietitian was a third career for Mozian, after working in advertising and being a stay at home mom. The choice of this work was driven by a desire to help people learn how good food can protect their health. Mozian has been the project coordinator for the Community Heart Health Coalition for 15 years working to find ways for residents to eat healthier and engage in physical activity. Before being hired to steer the coalition Mozian was a WIC nutritionist for Ulster County, a staff dietitian and clinical nutrition manager at The Kingston Hospital. In her spare time Mozian likes gardening, scrabble, reading, writing and a variety of movement modalities.
