Join us for a FREE Kingston Cooks workshop on Demystifying Beans, An Italian-Inspired Cooking Adventure!

Join chef Suzanne Campise of Cuore, Inc and sous chef Virginia Janes for a FREE, hands-on culinary journey where we explore the versatility of beans in three affordable delectable dishes using a pressure cooker, stovetop, and blender. Our workshop combines Italian tradition with fun, making it perfect for family meals!

The workshop is family-friendly! Kids ages 7 and up may attend with an adult. Each household that signs up will receive a FREE gently loved crockpot thanks to the generous partnership of the Kingston Interfaith Council. Various sizes, first come first serve, while supplies last.

Please arrive by 5:15pm to complete pre-workshop paperwork so that we may start promptly at 5:30pm. Late attendees might not be admitted depending on when they arrive. This is a safety issue as the beginning of the workshop includes kitchen safety instructions

Instead of our regular Play Well meeting, we are going to attend the Nature Everywhere Kingston Stakeholder Summit! Please RSVP for their event. 

Nature Everywhere Kingston is looking for your input. They want to understand how our community stakeholders are connecting Kingston youth to nature, and identify gaps so that we can work together to create greater access to nature and the outdoors in our mighty city.

At the summit, you will hear from leaders in the field who are providing access to nature-based learning and exploration. You will also participate in roundtable discussions based on key focus areas, brainstorming new projects, and ways to collaborate to maximize our collective impact.

Join Postpartum Chef Jodi Rae as she leads a workshop for expectant parents on how to build up a postpartum freezer stash of freezer-friendly nutritious meals and snacks designed to give you lasting energy during those early postpartum days.

Please join us for a special presentation that will serve as an introduction to the Hudson Valley Food System with a focus on agriculture. Hear Cornell Cooperative Extension of Ulster County’s Livestock & Natural Resources Educator, Kathryn Brignac. Additional details to come at a later time.

Eat Well is a focus team of Live Well Kingston that develops, implement and/or support policy, systems and environmental change by supporting and promoting local efforts to improve access to healthy foods throughout the community.
