I would love to invite you to a special Eat Well Kingston meeting with a focus on brainstorming the evolution of our Kingston Eats/Harvest of the Month project, which was a healthy food encouragement campaign. In addition, Land to Learn, KCSD school staff, and the RVGA have a project called Farm Fresh Fridays that is also a veggie of the month program. I’m hoping to bring people together to brainstorm how to continue this work, as our capacity is declining. Please forward this invite to anyone that you think might be interested.

Grow Well Kingston is a collective of organizations and individuals that support Kingston residents to grow plants and raise animals for food, medicine, natural habitat, and beauty, by supporting projects that provide knowledge, growing spaces, and resources. In 2026, we are meeting second Tuesdays, alternating between 6pm and 10am.
We’ll discuss community garden news, and garden stewards will be on hand for “Ask a Gardener” Q & A. These meetings are great places to share ideas and offer support. Join us! Contact us for more details. eflynn@kingston-ny.gov

“Complete Streets” is a term used to describe ordinary city streets that are designed to encourage people of all ages and abilities, by any mode of transportation, to use them.

“Complete Streets” is a term used to describe ordinary city streets that are designed to encourage people of all ages and abilities, by any mode of transportation, to use them. The more than 86 miles of local roads within the City are some of the most heavily used public spaces in the City.
Kingston’s Common Council created the Complete Streets Advisory Council in late 2010. The group is charged with advising the City on ways Kingston can implement Complete Streets principles in its planning, design, and construction activities.
The Complete Streets Advisory Council’s agenda and notes can be found on the City’s website calendar: www.kingston-ny.gov.
The Council meets monthly on the second Wednesday, 4pm, in Conference Room 1, top floor of City Hall, 420 Broadway, Kingston, NY. Meetings can also be viewed on the City’s YouTube channel: www.youtube.com/c/CityofKingstonNY/videos.

They create letters of support and guidance for City initiatives. Secondly, they oversee the Live Well Kingston body of work. They do this by: bringing together the focus teams, or subcommittees, Age Well, Eat Well, Grow Well, Play Well, Travel Well; monitoring public health trends; setting strategic direction and goals; and leading communications.
