Join the City of Kingston and Live Well Kingston for a ribbon cutting for Kingston’s brand-new Traffic Park on Wednesday, July 15, at 10:00am at Forsyth Park, between the playground and the tennis courts.
The Traffic Park is a painted road design on an underused parking lot at Forsyth Park, which will give people of all ages a safe space to practice walking and bicycling skills.
Funding for this project was provided by the New York State Department of Health Creating Healthy Schools and Communities grant program.
The project was supported by Edson Elementary staff and parents, the City of Kingston’s Parks and Recreation Department, the Department of Public Works, The Engineering Department, and the Health and Wellness Department. Bill DeCicco and Sons Seal Coating provided a discounted rate to prepare the lot for painting.
